Dan Rainville has been working in custom finishing and cabinets for 35 years. His specialties include dovetail drawers, custom cabinets, wainscotting, furniture and anything bent or curved out of wood.
The kitchen you see here has a 14' solid cherry s-shaped countertop which goes over the sills of the arched windows. All the drawers are dovetailed. All the doors, mouldings, newel posts and specialty cabinets were custom built in Dan's Metchosin shop.
No design is too difficult, Dan can work from your design or work with you to take your ideas to completion.
We also build stand alone saunas with wood burning stoves (harvia.com) that can include boilers to provide hot water showers/baths. The design you see here is built of 2" random width v-groove T&G closed knot cedar. It was designed specially for Sidney Island, requires no permit to build as it is under the square footage needing a permit and has an extension at the back that can be used for a bed.
